Aren't all insulation companies pretty much the same? The answer to this question is a resounding NO! Improperly installed insulation can result in decreased efficiency, degraded performance, and ultimately in higher heating and cooling cost to you. At AKA Insulation, we take extreme care to ensure that there are no voids, particularly around wiring, piping, etc. For insulation to work properly, it must completely fill any and all existing voids or gaps.

Is it possible to improve the insulation in my existing home? Yes, it is not too late for you to benefit from improving your insulation even if your home was built a century ago. Many older homes have attics that were insulated, on average, with an R-11 resulting in poor energy efficiency for today's standards. In other cases, walls may have been constructed with no insulation at all. Adding a layer of cellulose insulation, completely replacing the old poor insulation with better insulation, or even choosing a completely different type of insulation (like spray foam insulation, for instance), can dramatically increase the effectiveness of the insulation in your home.

Proper insulation can help extend the lifetime of your Heating & Cooling system. Proper insulation, correctly installed in a home or business, results in decreased load an a HVAC system. This reduced load means that the system will run less often, will require less maintenance, and will last longer. In some cases, it may even be possible to downsize the unit.

How can AKA help me? We are not your average insulation company. We use only superior products and cutting -edge green building technologies that we use to reduce your utility bills and we have the lowest cost for performance of any company you can contact.

We will beat any legitimate quote that is comparing apples to apples, plus we will provide you with all the certifications you need to take advantage of the Federal, State and Utility Incentives that make upgrading your insulation and weatherizing your home at this time a VERY SMART DECISION.

What all does AKA do?
At AKA Insulation, we handle just about every aspect of insulation, and every type, that is available. We have the experience and knowledge to be able to handle large commercial jobs as well as smaller residential projects while providing unquestioned quality in everything we do.

  • FIBERGLASS BATTS - In general, fiberglass batt insulation (blankets) offers a very good affordable application which offers efficient thermal and sound protection.

  • CELLULOSE WALL INSULATION - Cellulose wall spray offers a fully and tightly insulated wall forming a monolithic thermal barrier. No gaps, no voids which in turn increases your noise control absorbing substantial levels of unwanted sound. Not only does wall spray offer great thermal and sound protection, you also get fire resistance and we believe it's a great pest control as well.

  • BLOWN-IN ATTIC (FIBERGLASS & CELLULOSE) - Blow-in insulation offers some advantages over fiberglass batts. Blown-in insulation offers monolithic coverage of an attic space, for instance, to help stop convection, whereas with the installation of fiberglass batts, this level of coverage is much more difficult to achieve.

  • SPRAY FOAM INSULATION - Spray foam insulation is yet another alternative for your home or business. Spray foam typically has a slightly better R-Value once installed, but can also be quite a bit more expensive. In the end, the determining factor will be the cost versus the potential savings in your heating and cooling cost.

  • RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS (NEW AND RETROFITS) - AKA routinely handles insulation of new construction homes. It is not uncommon for us to retrofit existing homes to improve its insulation. Adding a layer of cellulose insulation over the top of existing fiberglass insulation can help restore the R-value of the fiberglass insulation in cold conditions.

  • COMMERCIAL PROJECTS (LARGE & SMALL) - AKA has the experience, equipment, and work force to handle commercial projects regardless of size. With the flexibility and knowledge level of our organization, we know what it means to meet deadlines and to stay within a budget.
